Custom Designs: Ring Alteration
This customer had an inherited ring that wasn’t her style. She didn’t enjoy it enough to wear it. Keeping the vintage theme intact, we thought it would make a world of difference just to rotate the top section of the ring so it rests across her finger horizontally, rather than vertical. It looks like a whole new ring! And even more important–she loves it!
Stone Replacement: Turquoise Inlay
Sterling and turquoise class ring where the stone had become chipped and the outside was very tarnished and a little worn. We replaced the inlay with a natural turquoise stone and refurbished the surface to a nice high polish finish. He’s sure to enjoy it for many more years.
Restoration: Rhodium/Platinum Dipping
“Rhodium is a chemical element that is a rare, silvery-white, hard metal and a member of the platinum group.” It’s used on gold, silver, and sometimes platinum to bring back the “like-new” appearance that we love about our new jewelry. All white gold needs some maintenance. After time and wear, white gold will start to yellow. This is when you need to re-rhodium! Your jewelry will look brand new again.
Restoration: Smashed Ring
This is a very special one. You wouldn’t believe it after seeing it, but this ring was flattened in a parking lot. It must have slipped off the owners finger when getting out of his car. He re-traced his steps all day and to his surprise, he found it. Unfortunately by the time he did it had been run over by several vehicles throughout the day.
Either way, we were able to shape it back as best we could to its original design and it looks great!
